Elevate E-commerce Visual Storytelling

Are you a passionate and innovative Art Director with a keen eye for detail and a drive to create impactful e-commerce experiences? Join our dynamic in-house creative team at Gladiolab, a rapidly growing e-commerce company where visual storytelling is at the heart of our brand. We're seeking a creative leader to shape and elevate our visual identity, driving online sales and brand engagement.

We foster a collaborative and innovative creative culture. You'll work alongside a talented team of designers, copywriters, and marketers to push the boundaries of e-commerce visual storytelling. We believe in empowering our creatives to experiment, grow, and make a real impact.

Lead Visual Strategy:

  • Develop and implement compelling visual concepts that align with different brand’s objectives and drive ecommerce conversions.
  • Ensure consistent visual execution across all digital platforms, including website, social media, and marketing campaigns.

    Creative Direction & Mentorship:

    • Provide expert art direction to the visual elements of creative projects, ensuring high standards of quality and innovation.
    • Mentor and guide designers and junior creatives, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
    • Review designer work, and provide constructive feedback. E-commerce Optimization:
    • Optimize visual assets for online sales, focusing on user experience and conversion rate optimization.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest e-commerce design trends and best practices.

      Innovation & Trend Awareness:

      • Explore and implement emerging media formats and design technologies.
      • Conduct research to understand industry trends, target audiences, and competitive landscapes.

        Project Management & Collaboration:

        • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
        • Present clear and compelling creative proposals to internal teams and stakeholders.
        • Troubleshoot design challenges and improve design department workflows.

  • 3+ years of experience as an Art Director, with a strong portfolio showcasing e-commerce or digital advertising campaigns.
  • Diploma and/or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • Expertise in typography, image manipulation, illustration, and animation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and familiarity with relevant design and wire-framing tools, and utilising AI generative tools to enhance creative workflow.
  • A strong understanding of e-commerce design principles and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced e-commerce environment, adapting quickly to evolving brand needs and priorities.
  • A forward-thinking and innovative approach to creative problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A keen eye for visual details and accuracy.
  • Strong awareness of the evolving trends in digital media platforms.
