Duties and Responsibilities • To attend planned preventive maintenance (PPM), corrective maintenance and testing & commissioning of the hospital facilities and equipment. • To prepare a report on the assignments carried out and submit it to the Facilities Manager daily. • To perform ‘on-call’ duties as scheduled by the Facilities Manager. • To attend to on-call service requests within 15 minutes upon receipt of the call. • To attend to on-call service requests if the person scheduled to do on-call for the day unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. • To perform overtime with prior consent from the Facilities Manager or Senior Corporate Admin Manager or Chief Executive Officer. • To report immediately any mishaps or accidents to the Facilities Manager • To ensure all services are attended to as per the department key performance indicator (KPI) • To liaise and coordinate with respective departments before and after the services are delivered. • To ensure all tools and equipment in the workshop are properly used and maintained. • To ensure the work areas are kept clean and safe. • To request stock from General Store with prior consent from Senior Corporate Admin Manager or Chief Executive Officer in the absence of the Facilities Manager. • To place order for spares with prior consent from Senior Corporate Admin Manager or Chief Executive Officer in the absence of the Facilities Manager. • To call contractor/ supplier to carry out repairs with prior consent from Senior Corporate Admin Manager or Chief Executive Officer in the absence of the Facilities Manager. • To update all documents related to FEMS activities and hospital policies. • To always ensure the Facilities Department functions efficiently and safely. • To update Senior Corporate Admin Manager or Chief Executive Officer on relevant matters in the absence of the Facilities Manager. • To assist and guide the Maintenance Technician and the Handyman on their daily assignments. • To oversee the functions of the Facilities Departments in the absence of the Facilities Manager.
