Key Responsibilities: Boiler Operation & Maintenance Operate and monitor steam boilers, hot water systems, and auxiliary equipment. Perform routine checks and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Conduct regular maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of boilers and related equipment. Safety & Compliance Ensure boilers and pressure vessels comply with safety and regulatory requirements. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to workplace safety guidelines. Conduct safety inspections and report any irregularities or potential hazards. Troubleshooting & Repairs Diagnose issues with boilers and heating systems and carry out necessary repairs. Work closely with maintenance teams to resolve breakdowns and minimize downtime. Maintain an inventory of spare parts and recommend replacements as needed. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of boiler performance, maintenance schedules, and inspections. Prepare reports on boiler operations, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities. Assist in preparing compliance reports for regulatory authorities. Energy Efficiency & Cost Control Monitor fuel and energy usage to optimize efficiency and reduce waste. Recommend improvements to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs. Identify opportunities for process improvements and energy conservation. Job Requirements: Education & Certification: Possess a valid Boilerman Certificate (Grade 1 or Grade 2) issued by the relevant authority. Vocational training or technical certification in mechanical engineering, power plant operation, or a related field is an advantage. Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Boilerman in an industrial, manufacturing, or plant environment. Hands-on experience in boiler operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of fuel boiler operations and combustion control. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to work in high-temperature environments and confined spaces. Physically fit to handle manual tasks and occasional heavy lifting. Willing to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties when required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in operating various types of boilers (fire-tube, water-tube, or biomass boilers). Knowledge of water treatment processes for boiler maintenance.
