GENERAL WORKERS

Job Summary: The General Worker is responsible for providing support in various tasks across different departments. This includes assisting with routine operations such as manual labor, material handling, facility maintenance, and production support. General Workers contribute to ensuring that work environments are safe, clean, and efficient. They are versatile team members who are essential to maintaining smooth daily operations and supporting the core functions of the business. Key Responsibilities: 1.Manual Labor and Physical Tasks: -Assist with loading and unloading goods, materials, or equipment from trucks or storage areas. -Carry out general cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring work areas are clean, organized, and safe. -Operate basic machinery or equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed, following proper safety procedures. -Move or stack items, materials, and supplies around the work area to ensure smooth workflow. -Perform heavy lifting, bending, and other physical tasks as required. 2.Assisting in Production/Operations: -Support the production team by setting up workstations, preparing materials, or packaging finished products. -Assist in assembling products or goods as instructed by supervisors. -Operate production equipment (under supervision), ensuring it is set up correctly and safely. -Monitor production processes to ensure that products are made according to specifications and quality standards. 3.Inventory and Stock Management: -Help with inventory management by moving, organizing, and storing products, raw materials, or supplies. -Ensure items are properly labeled and stored in designated areas to avoid damage or loss. -Assist in conducting regular stock counts and report any discrepancies to the supervisor or manager. -Ensure that storage areas are kept neat and organized. 4.Safety and Maintenance: -Follow safety protocols and maintain awareness of safety standards while working in potentially hazardous environments. -Ensure that workplace safety equipment is in good working condition and used correctly. -Participate in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to workplace sanitation and hygiene policies. -Report any unsafe conditions, accidents, or injuries to supervisors immediately. 5.Team Collaboration: -Work alongside other team members to accomplish daily goals and maintain operational efficiency. -Communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff to ensure proper coordination of tasks. -Follow instructions from senior workers and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed as required. 6.Ad-hoc Tasks: -Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager. -Assist in special projects or peak workloads as needed. Key Requirements: Education: SPM / STPM Experience: -Previous experience in a similar general labor or entry-level role is a plus but not required. -Experience in a warehouse, factory, or production environment is desirable. Skills: -Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. -Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, or machinery operation is an advantage. -Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly. -Ability to work in a team and collaborate with others effectively. Preferred Qualifications: -Forklift license or certification (if operating forklifts or other machinery). -Basic understanding of workplace safety practices or certifications (e.g., First Aid, OSHA). -Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks effectively and safely. Working Conditions: -Typically a full-time position with regular working hours, though some positions may require shift work or overtime, depending on the industry and company needs. -Work may take place in environments such as warehouses, factories, production sites. -Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required (e.g., gloves, safety shoes, helmets). -Manual labor and the ability to lift heavy items (depending on the specific role).
