R&D ENGINEER

(1) Job Description : > Design and develop new plastic products, focusing on profile extrusion and lamination, especially for automotive and industrial markets. > Choose and optimize materials for extrusion and lamination processes to meet product performance and cost goals. > Improve and troubleshoot for better efficiency and quality. > Conduct tests (mechanical, chemical, and physical) to ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications. > Work with production and marketing teams to ensure product development meets market demands and production feasibility. > Prepare reports and document R&D findings, material formulations, and process improvements. > Develop cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and manage project timelines for timely product delivery. > Research environmentally friendly materials and processes, aiming for energy savings and waste reduction in manufacturing. (2) Skills : > Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control principles. > Demonstrated experience in profile extrusion, tooling, equipment troubleshooting, and performing machine and process set-ups is preferred. > Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. > Creativity in developing new products, processes, and solving engineering challenges. > Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as in teams > Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines > Strong verbal and written communication skills > Familiar with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) (3) Qualifications : > Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Polymer, Chemical, or related fields). Master’s degree is a plus. > 2-5 years in R&D or product development within plastics, especially in extrusion processes. > Experience in the Automotive Industry will be an added advantage. > Must be able to work at Pandamaran, Klang.
