RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB HIGHLIGHTS
- Monitor day-to-day site operations to ensure the project progresses according to plan.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Supervise and manage site workers, subcontractors, and other on-site staff.
- Allocate tasks to team members and ensure their productivity.
- Provide on-site training and guidance to team members as needed.
- Inspect work to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Identify and address any defects or inconsistencies promptly.
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure the site complies with health and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks.
- Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials and equipment.
- Manage and monitor resource usage to minimize waste.
- Maintain detailed site logs, including daily progress, workforce attendance, incidents, and equipment usage.
- Report project progress and challenges to the Project Manager.
- Quickly address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during construction.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to resolve conflicts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact on-site for clients, ensuring their concerns are addressed professionally.
- Provide updates on project milestones and timelines.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Education: Diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience as a site supervisor or in a similar role in the construction industry.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA, First Aid, or other safety training certifications (depending on regional requirements).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, equipment, and materials.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Majority of the time is spent on-site, requiring physical activity and exposure to various weather conditions.
- May involve overtime, weekend work, or working irregular hours based on project requirements.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
