RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB HIGHLIGHTS

  • Monitor day-to-day site operations to ensure the project progresses according to plan.
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Supervise and manage site workers, subcontractors, and other on-site staff.
  • Allocate tasks to team members and ensure their productivity.
  • Provide on-site training and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Inspect work to ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Identify and address any defects or inconsistencies promptly.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure the site complies with health and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks.
  • Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials and equipment.
  • Manage and monitor resource usage to minimize waste.
  • Maintain detailed site logs, including daily progress, workforce attendance, incidents, and equipment usage.
  • Report project progress and challenges to the Project Manager.
  • Quickly address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during construction.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to resolve conflicts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on-site for clients, ensuring their concerns are addressed professionally.
  • Provide updates on project milestones and timelines.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Education: Diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience as a site supervisor or in a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA, First Aid, or other safety training certifications (depending on regional requirements).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
  • Majority of the time is spent on-site, requiring physical activity and exposure to various weather conditions.
  • May involve overtime, weekend work, or working irregular hours based on project requirements.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
