Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced MBA Lecturer to join our academic team at University College. This position requires a dynamic educator with advanced expertise in business administration to teach graduate-level courses in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering a rigorous learning environment, and supporting students’ academic and professional growth. In addition, the MBA Lecturer will engage in research, curriculum development, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the MBA program.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Instruction:

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lectures and seminars on a range of MBA courses such as Strategic Management, Marketing, Finance, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Business Ethics, Operations Management, and Entrepreneurship.
  • Develop and implement course content, including lesson plans, presentations, case studies, assignments, and exams, ensuring alignment with the MBA program’s objectives and industry relevance.
  • Foster interactive learning through discussions, group projects, case analyses, and practical applications of business concepts.
  • Evaluate and grade students’ coursework, exams, and projects in a fair and timely manner, providing constructive feedback to support student development.

Student Support and Mentorship:

  • Provide academic guidance and career counseling to MBA students, advising them on their studies, professional development, and career goals.
  • Encourage critical thinking, innovation, and real-world problem-solving in students, helping them connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
  • Hold office hours and one-on-one meetings with students to address academic concerns, provide mentorship, and offer support with coursework.

Curriculum Development and Review:

  • Contribute to the design and development of the MBA curriculum, ensuring that it meets the latest industry standards and trends while addressing the needs of students.
  • Regularly review and update course content, materials, and teaching methods to reflect changes in business practices, emerging technologies, and current global business trends.
  • Collaborate with faculty members and the program leadership to improve course structure, delivery, and student learning outcomes.

Research and Scholarly Activity:

  • Conduct research in business administration topics relevant to the MBA program, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
  • Publish research findings in reputable academic journals, present at conferences, and engage in scholarly activities to enhance the academic standing of the MBA program.
  • Encourage students to participate in research projects, case competitions, and business-related events that enhance their practical learning experience.

Professional Development and Industry Engagement:

  • Participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and conferences to stay updated on business trends and build connections with business professionals.
  • Contribute to maintaining strong industry links that can enhance the program’s value, including securing guest speakers, internships, and partnerships for students.
  • Continuously engage in professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest teaching methodologies and business innovations.

Program Administration:

  • Actively participate in department meetings, faculty committees, and accreditation processes to ensure the continuous improvement and growth of the MBA program.
  • Assist in program evaluation, curriculum reviews, and the development of new MBA offerings based on market trends and student feedback.
  • Provide support for administrative tasks related to student assessments, academic reporting, and program accreditation.

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • An MBA or other advanced professional qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Have valid teaching permit from e-IPTS (preferred).

Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of teaching experience in a graduate-level business program (preferably MBA) or significant industry experience in business administration, management, or consulting.
  • Strong academic background, with evidence of teaching effectiveness and research in business disciplines.
  • Practical business experience in leadership roles, management consulting, or entrepreneurship is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of educational technology, including online learning platforms and case study tools.
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.

Pay: RM6,668.26 - RM10,261.67 per month
