Job Responsibilities

  • Routine Supervision and Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of sanitary product manufacturing workshops, warehouses, office areas, and other locations according to established EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards. Identify and document potential safety hazards, environmental issues, and non-compliance with occupational health requirements, such as missing equipment safety guards, improper chemical storage, or poor workplace ventilation.
  • Hazard Identification and Rectification Follow-Up: Assist the EHS Manager in conducting regular safety hazard assessments. Participate in developing corrective action plans and track the implementation of rectification measures to ensure timely and effective resolution of identified hazards. Conduct acceptance checks for completed rectifications to achieve closed-loop management.
  • Data Collection and Record-Keeping: Collect, organize, and maintain various EHS-related records, such as safety inspection logs, incident reports, training records, and environmental monitoring data. Establish and manage an EHS database to support decision-making in EHS management.
  • Employee Training and Communication: Assist in organizing EHS training programs, including safety orientation for new employees and safety awareness workshops. Prepare and distribute training materials. Maintain effective communication with employees, address their EHS-related concerns, and promote EHS policies and knowledge to enhance overall awareness.
  • Incident Investigation Participation: In the event of workplace accidents, environmental incidents, or occupational health issues, assist the EHS Manager in conducting on-site investigations. Gather relevant evidence and information, participate in root cause analysis, propose preventive measures, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Emergency Response Assistance: Contribute to the development and revision of company emergency response plans. Assist in organizing emergency drills and manage emergency supplies, ensuring they are well-maintained and readily available. In the event of an emergency, support rescue operations as per the emergency response plan.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background: Diploma or above in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS-related roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience or EHS certifications may also be considered.
  • Professional Skills: Familiarity with Malaysia's EHS laws and regulations. Proficiency in safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations. Basic knowledge of environmental management and occupational health, with the ability to identify common safety and environmental issues.
  • Other Abilities: Detail-oriented with strong responsibility and execution skills. Good teamwork and communication skills. Proficiency in office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
