  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care in accordance with Hospital Policies, Procedures and guidelines and scope of nursing practice framework.
  • Screen and answer patient queries regarding the surgery to prepare them mentally for surgery.
  • Ensure all related documents are ready for surgery.
  • Report any abnormality in the patient and report to the surgeon and anesthetist in-charge to determine whether surgery should be performed as scheduled or postponed.
  • Prepare the operation room for the surgical cases. Arrange all the necessary tools and put them in place. Ensure safety for all personnel and patient in the operating room.
  • Ensure that correct levels of consumables are available. Check and make sure that all operation room and equipment are in good condition and functioning properly. Any problem with equipment should be reported to OT Manager or technicians to get repaired /replacement as soon as possible or ensure a stand-by equipment/instruments are available. Ensure the operation runs smoothly.
  • Assist surgeons and provide the right surgical tools intra-operatively.
  • Responsible for instrument and sponge counting.
  • Work with full cooperation with other operation room staff to ensure smooth operations.

Other Requirements :

  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board
  • Valid Annual Practicing Certificate
  • At least 3 years of experience in OT nursing
  • Preferred Post Basic in Perioperative
  • Preferred as well those who can do scrubbing
