About the Role
At CARMA, we are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to lead our talent development, management, and performance optimization strategies across the APAC region. You will work closely with the Managing Director to drive employee engagement, foster a cohesive and inclusive organizational culture, and lead the charge for continuous learning and upskilling, particularly in the face of AI transformation in the PR and media sectors.
This role is pivotal in shaping our HR strategy to ensure that our teams remain competitive, innovative, and aligned with industry trends, while also driving performance and growth across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Development:
- Design and implement a forward-thinking Learning & Development (L&D) strategy that equips employees with the skills to thrive in an evolving, technology- and AI-driven industry.
- Partner with senior leadership to identify skills gaps and create targeted development programs, including:
- Leadership development
- Technical training
- Soft skills enhancement
- Ensure that our L&D approach aligns with client needs, ensuring our teams are adaptable, innovative, and able to deliver exceptional value.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, making recommendations for improvements and ongoing refinement.
Talent Management:
- Manage internal communications to ensure transparent, engaging, and consistent messaging throughout the organization.
- Lead the development and execution of a performance management framework that:
- Aligns with CARMA’s organizational goals
- Drives employee engagement
- Cultivates a high-performance culture
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs to attract, motivate, and retain top talent across APAC, ensuring both market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Partner with team leads to provide HR expertise on employee performance, career progression, and retention strategies.
- Handle employee relations issues and grievances in a timely, fair, and confidential manner, working with leaders to resolve conflicts and improve team dynamics.
Employer Branding and Recruitment:
- Drive internal communications initiatives to ensure clear, engaging, and consistent messaging across the company.
- Develop and execute employer branding strategies to position CARMA as an employer of choice in the media research and analytics sector.
- Oversee the recruitment process for key roles, ensuring a positive candidate experience and alignment with CARMA’s values and culture.
HR Operations:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws across APAC and oversee HR administration to mitigate risks.
- Manage HR administrative processes, including:
- Employee onboarding
- Contract management
- HRIS data accuracy
- Compliance with company policies
- Lead efforts to streamline HR operations, ensuring HR workflows are efficient and employees have a seamless experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years in HR role within PR, communications, or a related agency, with experience across the APAC region.
- Education: Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CIPD) preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the impact of AI on the workforce and expertise in integrating L&D programs to address these challenges.
- Talent Management: In-depth experience setting up processes and programs across the full talent management spectrum.
- Employer Branding & Recruitment: Proven track record in employer branding and recruitment strategies, particularly in competitive industries, to attract top talent.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
