Description
Project Manager, Operations
Our APAC Operations team is hiring a Project Manager to join us in Kuala Lumpur/Puchong, Malaysia. This role is responsible for Operations projects and events which include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for managing projects involving regional and/or global functional teams
- Responsible for managing projects involving cross functional teams i.e. Manufacturing, Order Fulfillment, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Specials, Engineering, HR and IT
- Responsible for leading project planning, value identification and ensuring acceptable ROI
- Utilizes project management fundamentals to facilitate and lead multiple cross-functional teams through the project management process to achieve desired goals and objectives
- Compiles master project plan from various detailed plans co-created with project team members. Responsible for completion of projects on schedule and within budget
- Compiles, analyzes and communicates detailed project objectives and requirements in terms of function and performance and leads the team to success
- Works with Project Owner & Project Sponsor to drive desirable project outcomes
- Works with teams to define project charters, develop project timelines, monitor project budget(s), lead risk identification/management, communications planning, etc.
- Responsible for coaching and training of project management discipline for the Operations team members.
- Accountable for all aspects of project success
- Represents and positively promotes the vision, purpose and positive evolution of Global Operations Project Management and Global Operations.
- Will be expected to refine the PM processes and approaches to drive PMO efficiency and effectiveness
- Ability to define the business case, project feasibility, payback, project scope, objectives, team members, stakeholders, timeline and expectations for a given project
- Extensive project planning skills, including the successful completion of medium and large scale & scope projects
- Ability to communicate effectively to the project team and stakeholders for a given project. Excellent communication & presentation skills in English both oral & written
- Ability to manage extensive project budgets and coordinate budget approval process
- Ability to identify issues, specify corrective actions and lead team(s) to best resolution
- Ability to identify risks and apply risk management to ensure project success
- Ability to motivate the project team to complete the project within the defined objectives and timelines
- Ability to develop strong relationship with team members and leaders across the business
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with the complete project management process utilizing various tools to plan and execute a project
- Proven management and negotiation skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in use of computer business applications
- Strong attention to detail
- Minimum qualification of Degree or equivalent in Engineering/Finance/Supply Chain/Business Administration
- Minimum 2 years certified as Project Management Professional (PMP) by Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Minimum of 5-7 years working experience in a cross functional environment
- Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Project Manager or in a supervisory role
- Minimum qualification of Certified Scrum Master is added benefit
- Experience working in Program Management or Portfolio Management is added benefit
