Business Application Analyst

Responsibilities:

Technical

  1. Participates in developing technical requirement and plans for system/applications development and modification.
  2. Gather and verify requirements from business demands to evaluate request and provide available solution including enabling improvement for work automation.
  3. Provide input to the Technical Developer during solution review and to Project Manager for delivery planning (timeline, scope and resource).
  4. Translate business demand requirements to technical deliverables.
  5. Perform analysis and recommend appropriate action to the business.
  6. Partner with Functional and Infrastructure teams implementing application or system design specifications. Coordinate integration across multiple platforms by maintaining effective communications within Business Application, Infrastructure, Application Managed Service, Group Digital as well as the Business stakeholders to deliver technology solution on time.
  7. Prepares process, report, user handbook, correspondence and other documents.
  8. Lead on committee, periodic standup and task force to ensure task lists are updated, informed and closed accordingly.

Change Management

  1. Gather end user feedback, providing guidance/direction and provide solutions.
  2. Facilitate end user acceptance testing (UAT), compile issue log and drive end-to-end bug fixings until product goes live.
  3. Ability to drive adoption and change management communication.
  4. Organize user onboarding session, workshop or webinar and proactive update through communication tools (e.g. Email, Yammer or Teams).

Audit Support

  1. Support annual audit exercise with Group Internal Audit (GIA) and external auditors.
  2. Examine IT controls and audit requirements provided by internal/external auditors.
  3. Ability to work with cross teams to identify and assess current business application technology, information and risks.
  4. Ability to work with Technical counterpart and/or Application Managed Support to provide evidence based on audit requirements or test scripts.
  5. Complete audit scopes by documenting audit test outcomes and findings. Proactively execute immediate remediations on any audit-related findings, if any.
  6. Prepare management response for audit report submission to management and internal/external auditor.

Procurement Services

  1. Support sourcing and procurement in tender executions and commercial negotiation of IT-related product and services.
  2. Keeping track of the Business Applications license and support expiries.
  3. Execute Cybersecurity Business Impact Assessment (CS BIA) and Cybersecurity Business Risk Acceptance (CS BRA) on periodic basis.
  4. Support pre-procurement endorsement processes with Group Risk and Governance with alignment of business sourcing strategy.
  5. Partner with internal and external solution teams to ensure product and services are delivered on budget and with quality required to support rapid changing business and technology environments.
  6. Manage vendor relationships ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints, and within the guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information sciences or other relevant technical disciplines from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experiences in Business Technology function.
  • Strong competency on business analysis with critical thinking skillset. Able to ask the right questions, analyse information, perform root cause analysis, propose mitigation solution and action plan.
  • Experience in sourcing and procurement techniques experience including tender executions and commercial negotiation of IT-related product and services.
  • Must have managed at least two full cycles of project management, deployment and support provision across global enterprises.
  • Strong business management skills with the ability to work on and track multiple projects & operations simultaneously.
  • Experience with managing global service management application and support organisations, including change control governance process and activities.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage geographically distributed teams in multi-vendor environments.
  • Good appreciation of business processes involved in cross function integration activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when implementing solutions and solving problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
