- Conduct and oversee comprehensive engineering studies for well testing and injectivity tests, including high-rate well flowback assessments. This covers surface well test package design, ESD/safety system design, flare and heat modelling, MODU and subsea interfaces, as well as surface sampling. Optimize test designs to ensure timely, effective, and efficient delivery with minimal HSE risks. Develop, review, and refine well test / injectivity test programs, operational procedures, and HSE management plans.
- Guide, supervise, and assess risk evaluations and opportunity registers for completion engineering. Ensure well test and injectivity test designs align with corporate standards, internal policies, and local regulatory requirements.
- Assess and identify necessary well test/injectivity test equipment, services, and long lead items (LLIs). Develop contract strategies and procurement plans for completion equipment and services. Prepare and review technical specifications and scopes of work. Manage and advance tendering and procurement processes to secure required resources.
- Review and update well test/injectivity test timelines and cost estimates, demonstrating cost competitiveness. Prepare work programs, budgets, and AFEs to ensure adequate financial and planning coverage for completion engineering studies and programs. Facilitate the regulatory compliance process to secure necessary approvals on schedule.
- Provide engineering support to cross-functional teams (e.g., Subsurface, SURF, HSE). Foster and maintain collaboration with external stakeholders to incorporate new technologies, best practices, and lessons learned into drilling and completion activities.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technical Science; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of total experience in Offshore Well Testing and Completions and preferably have maintained assignments up to recent one (1) year, which includes:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in Deep-Water (i.e., on a floating MODUs), well testing including both on-site supervision and onshore support roles.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in well testing, at an operator company(s), including engineering, project management, tendering, contracting, logistics coordination, QAQC management, HSE management, operational support, on-site supervision and campaign close-out.
