Technical Sales Engineer
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
1. Identify sales opportunity, negotiate contracts and review sales performance
2. Provide clients with sales advice and technical support involves translating and explaining technical information, focusing on revealing how a product or specialized equipment can solve specific problems.
3. To coordinates and extend the support on preparation of technical and commercial proposal.
4. Follow up the proposal and securing the order from the prospect customer.
5. Generate professional relationship with new/existing client which lead to new business exploration and acquirement
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
1. Reporting to Sales and Technical manager.
2. Provide day to day support to the Business Development and Sales department.
3. To provide daily/weekly or monthly update and report on sales and business development activity.
4. To prepare and present sales performance and reports.
5. To identify sales opportunity, organizing technical sales visit, conduct presentation to the prospect customer
6. Providing pre-sales and post-sales support to the customers.
7. Determine proposal feasibility by checking customer inquiry.
8. Able to conduct site survey and prepare the visit report and makes necessary recommendation to the team and feed back to customer.
9. To lead / assist / prepare for the technical and commercia proposal.
10. To negotiate contracts, attending RFQ, preparing ITB documents and entertaining incoming market survey.
11. Ensure that proposals meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines.
12. Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order.
13. Participate in and actively support company initiatives.
14. All other duties as relevant to the post and department.
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
1. Strong technical knowledge and organization skills with good communication and intrapersonal skills.
2. Analytical skills in technical and commercial
3. Advantages for experienced person from oil n gas or sales background.
4. Good Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized, spreadsheet and word processing programs at a highly proficient level
ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
1. Bachelor Degree in any fields.
2. Knowledgeable in Fundamental of Project Management, Tendering, Cost Estimating & Contract Administration
