We are looking for an Property Underwriter to assess risks, analyse claims data, and craft optimal coverage solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Apply insurance principles to assess both standard and non-standard risks
- Use data analytics to ensure accurate risk pricing
- Evaluate and modify policy wordings, extensions, and limitations as needed
- Develop and manage insurance products to align with customer needs
- Identify emerging trends and collaborate to enhance products and financial outcomes
- Analyse market and customer strategies to drive innovation and improvement
- Establish effective underwriting and analytical processes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of underwriting experience
- In depth knowledge of insurance, with a focus on Property and Miscellaneous underwriting, additional Accident and Health underwriting experience will be advantageous
- Experience in producing a profitable portfolio of business within underwriting authority
- Strong analytical skills to assess exposures, coverages, terms and conditions
- Knowledge and good proficiency in excel, underwriting tools, applications, guidelines, and data analytics
- Strong negotiation and ability to multi-task with attention to detail
