The Merchandising, Compliance & SOP Manager is responsible for overseeing product merchandising, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all convenience store locations. This role ensures that store displays, promotions, and inventory align with business objectives while enforcing operational consistency and regulatory adherence. The manager will also ensure that suppliers who merchandise stock in stores follow SOPs and company guidelines. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - 1. Merchandising & Product Display Management • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and sales. • Ensure product placement, shelf arrangements, and promotional displays follow company guidelines. • Collaborate with suppliers and store teams to execute promotional campaigns and seasonal displays. • Monitor store layouts to optimize space utilization and maintain a consistent brand image. • Conduct regular store visits to ensure merchandising execution meets company standards. 2. Supplier Merchandising Compliance • Ensure that suppliers who merchandise stock in stores adhere to company SOPs, including product placement, pricing, and promotional display guidelines. • Conduct routine audits and spot checks to verify supplier compliance with merchandising standards. • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and correct stock replenishment. • Enforce hygiene, safety, and operational guidelines for supplier merchandising activities. • Take corrective actions against non-compliant suppliers, including issuing warnings or penalties. 3. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence • Ensure all stores comply with company policies, government regulations, and industry standards. • Monitor food safety, product labeling, price accuracy, and shelf-life compliance for both in-house and supplier-managed stock. • Work with store managers to conduct internal audits and resolve any non-compliance issues. • Keep updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments across stores. • Ensure all supplier merchandising activities comply with legal and ethical standards. 4. SOP Development & Implementation • Develop, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all store operations, including supplier merchandising processes. • Train store staff and suppliers on best practices for merchandising, inventory control, and compliance. • Monitor SOP adherence among both store employees and external suppliers and identify areas for improvement. • Work with the operations team to enhance efficiency in stock replenishment and store management. • Create SOP manuals and conduct training sessions for suppliers to ensure consistent execution. 5. Inventory & Stock Management • Ensure stock levels are well-managed to avoid overstocking or stock shortages. • Work with purchasing and warehouse teams to streamline inventory control. • Monitor slow-moving and expired products, implementing markdowns or removal strategies. • Analyze sales data to adjust merchandising strategies and stock placement. 6. Reporting & Performance Analysis • Prepare reports on merchandising effectiveness, supplier compliance status, and SOP adherence. • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend improvements to store operations. • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as supplier compliance scores, merchandising effectiveness, and inventory turnover rates. • Provide recommendations on product selection, pricing, and promotions based on market trends. JOB REQUIREMENT: - • Bachelor's degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. • 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, supplier compliance, or retail operations within the convenience store or retail industry. • Strong understanding of store merchandising principles, supplier management, retail compliance regulations, and SOP development. • Experience in monitoring and enforcing supplier compliance in retail settings. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems, and inventory management software. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and enforce SOPs across multiple store locations. • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, store teams, and management. • Must have own transport and a valid driving license.
