Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Strategy Development: Create and implement pricing strategies for transportation services, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand pricing trends, competitor rates, and customer expectations, adjusting pricing models accordingly.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze transportation costs, including fuel, labor, and operational expenses, to determine optimal pricing structures. Ensure continuous improvement and corrective & preventive actions for issues.
  • Rate Development: Create and maintain comprehensive rate cards for transportation services, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for internal teams and customers.
  • Rate Negotiation: Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers, suppliers, and customers to secure favorable terms and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaboration with Sales and Operations: Work closely with sales and operations teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing and profitability, preparing reports for senior management.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure pricing practices comply with legal and regulatory standards, mitigating risks associated with pricing decisions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree Holder supply chain management, logistics or business administration.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in transport logistics or supply chain management in supervision or management of logistics or related field.
  • Good analytical skills in costing, P&L and data analysis on process and system.
  • Good trouble shooting skills to establish root causes and provide effective solutions.
  • A self-starter, demonstrate a track record of high-performance work without immediate management supervision.
  • Have proven experience in running effective teams and ability to work with core team members and cross-functional teams in a matrix managed environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian transportation regulations and industry best practices.
