Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to operate, set up, and maintain computer numerical control (CNC) machines. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for producing precision parts and components by reading and interpreting blueprints, programming, and executing machine operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes) to manufacture complex parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure proper functioning.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure that production goals and deadlines are met.
  • Adjust machine settings and tool paths based on feedback and quality control checks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with G-code programming and CAM software.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments to ensure part quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field is a plus.
