Senior Process Improvement Manager – Rubber Industry
The Senior Process Improvement Manager is responsible for analyzing, developing and implementing process optimization strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in rubber manufacturing operations. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
- Analyze current production processes in rubber compounding, molding, curing, and finishing to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, efficiency, cost reduction, and machine uptime.
- Standardize and document best practices for manufacturing processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
Operational Efficiency & Cost Reduction
- Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives by improving material usage, machine efficiency, and energy consumption.
- Work with production, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve process bottlenecks.
- Evaluate and implement automation and advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance efficiency.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ISO, IATF, OSHA, and other industry regulations while driving process improvements.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to reduce defects, improve product consistency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plans for process-related quality issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Train and mentor production staff on new process improvements and best practices.
- Work with R&D and engineering teams to improve material formulations, process parameters, and new product development.
Project Management & Reporting
- Manage process improvement projects from inception to implementation, ensuring timely execution.
- Prepare and present reports, cost-benefit analyses, and progress updates to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and competitive practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Key Requirements For Successful Applicant:
- 8+ years of experience in process improvement, manufacturing, or operations management within the rubber industry or related sectors.
- Strong knowledge of rubber manufacturing processes.
- Experience with automation, and smart manufacturing technologies is an advantage.
- Lean Manufacturing Certification or PMP (Project Management Professional) will be an advantage.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including with Senior stakeholders.
