Job Description: • Conduct media and Internet searches on companies and individuals in English and Korean language • To investigate official sources (registrars, regulators, courts, etc.) for information on companies and individuals • To cooperate with external vendors (verification of provided information, placing them in a report) • To analyse the collected information with a view to reputational, financial, and integrity risks (sanctions, corruption, bribery, money laundering, terrorism financing, regulatory violations, etc.) • To prepare comprehensive reports in English and/or in foreign languages, which are: - in a standardised format - in accordance with our internal Research Methodology and Style Guide - meeting client-specific requirements - delivered on time • Assists in training, guiding, or even mentoring new hires in research work • Works closely with report/case stakeholders such as research supervisor, supporting team members, external vendors as well as case managers, to ensure the completion of the report that meets the client’s requirements. • Works with immediate team members as well as with other team members across the EDD organisation (from various offices) Requirement and Experience: • To hold a university degree preferably in international relations, political science, legal studies, or business management. • Language Required [English and Korean language] • Korean language certification such as TOPIK with Level 5 or 6 would be preferred. • Having compliance, Due Diligence or AML (Anti Money Laundering)/KYC (Know Your Customer) related experience would be an added advantage. • Have a decent knowledge of Asian and Southeast Asian markets in general concerning AML/ABAC trends • Excellent written and analytical skills including the ability to summarise complex information clearly and concisely from another language into English. • The ability to work in a highly challenging, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. • Strong research skills, including online search tools • Strong writing and proofreading skills – prior experience in research/editorial roles is an advantage. • Flexibility and adaptability to change • Ability to handle client queries and operational issues independently. • Excellent organisation and communication skills • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and handle volumes of work • Be a team player with a high level of initiative and a proactive approach to work • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and issues • Knowledge of and interest in international affair
