Job Description: The HSE Assistant Intern will work under the supervision of the Health, Safety, and Environment Manager, assisting with daily tasks and projects to promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. The intern will be exposed to various aspects of HSE policies, compliance, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: 1. Safety Inspections & Audits: - Assist in conducting workplace safety inspections and risk assessments. - Help in identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions. - Participate in internal audits and report on compliance with safety regulations. 2. HSE Documentation & Reporting: - Assist in maintaining and updating HSE-related documentation such as incident reports, safety policies, and environmental impact assessments. - Prepare and file reports related to safety incidents, near misses, and environmental compliance. - Help in preparing training materials and HSE presentations. 3. Training & Awareness: - Support in organizing safety training sessions and toolbox talks. - Assist in creating awareness materials like posters, flyers, or newsletters to promote safety culture. - Assist with HSE orientation for new employees. 4. Incident Reporting & Investigation: - Assist in investigating safety incidents, compiling data, and documenting findings. - Follow up on corrective and preventive actions resulting from investigations. 5. Regulatory Compliance: - Help ensure compliance with local and national HSE regulations. - Stay updated with new laws and regulations related to health, safety, and the environment. 6. Environmental Monitoring: - Participate in environmental monitoring tasks, such as waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation efforts. - Assist with recycling programs, energy-saving initiatives, and environmental impact assessments. 7. Health & Safety Promotion: - Support initiatives to promote a healthy work environment, including ergonomics assessments and employee wellness programs. 8. Emergency Preparedness: - Assist in updating emergency response plans and procedures. - Participate in emergency drills and ensure compliance with preparedness standards.
