JOB SUMMARY: Buy parts from various Suppliers based on project needs. Ensure part is purchased in sufficient quantity and continuously follow up with Suppliers to avoid parts delay which might lead to line down. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/AUTHORIZATION LEVEL • Send weekly forecast and reschedule report to Supplier; • Issue Purchase Order when system triggers to buy parts to ensure no parts shortage when needed; • Ensure the date Supplier commit meets the system request date; • Follow up shipment to ensure parts receive on time and no delay; • Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs; • Participate in any special projects/programs as & when assigned by Company. Authority: • Senior/Buyer or as delegated by Management; • Purchase order generation based on system purchase requisition; • Report material PPV for review by Manager [for Senior position only]; • Review and report inventory level against committed DOS [for Senior position only]. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE • SPM with years of experience or Diploma/Degree in any discipline; • 1-2 years’ experience dealing with various level of suppliers is preferable; • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
