We’ve partnered with a global leader in advanced manufacturing solutions, specializing in precision surface treatment technologies. As part of their strategic expansion in Southeast Asia, they seek a Engineering Manager (Manager/Asst Manager) - Plating to join their growing team.

Responsibility:

  • Design and validate surface treatment processes (e.g., plating, coating) for new product prototypes and mass production, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
  • Review customer technical specifications and project requirements, providing feedback to sales and cross-functional teams during design phases.
  • Lead cost estimation for surface treatment projects, including material selection, process design, and quality validation.
  • Manage and mentor a team of process engineers and technicians in developing process documentation, control plans, and technical drawings.
  • Coordinate with R&D, production, and quality teams to align process schedules, release design outputs, and integrate workflows into ERP systems.
  • Oversee process documentation, including technical manuals, operator instructions, and compliance certifications.
  • Drive root cause analysis and troubleshooting for quality issues during production, testing, and client audits.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering and business teams to address design challenges and customer specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and organizational policies across all processes.

Requirements:

  • Key Skills: Process Design, Team Leadership, Quality Compliance, Electroplating
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in surface treatment/process engineering
  • Strong knowledge of electrochemical processes (e.g., plating, anodizing) and quality systems (e.g., Six Sigma, SPC).
