Implementation and Application:

  • Offer technical guidance to the accounting team on the interpretation and application of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2.

Compliance:

  • Monitor and evaluate compliance with IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 at KB and AB.
  • Identify and resolve any compliance issues or gaps.
  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure alignment with the standards and coordinate with auditors for assurance.

Technical Expertise:

  • Stay up to date on updates and changes to IFRS S1 and S2, including amendments and new interpretations.
  • Analyze complex accounting issues related to these standards.
  • Provide technical advice and support on baseline sustainability disclosure standards to management.

Project Management:

  • Lead projects for the implementation or adjustment of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2.
  • Collaborate with other departments and the sustainability team to ensure successful project execution.

Training and Development:

  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the accounting team's understanding of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

  • Support the execution of corporate finance strategies, including equity and debt instruments.
  • Coordinate with investment banks and advisers to ensure effective implementation of corporate finance strategies.

Financial Reporting Responsibility:

  • Assist the Financial Reporting team as needed in the application and implementation of other key financial reporting standards.

Qualifications

  • A recognized degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Practical experience in ESG-related reporting is a significant advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in Corporate Finance, including Equity and Debt Instruments.
  • A professional accounting qualification.
  • At least 15 years of work experience in the Takaful, Insurance or Financial Services industry.
