Our client, a well-established petrochemical company based in Kuantan, Pahang, is seeking a Production Engineer. The role involves ensuring smooth and consistent operations by providing technical expertise in process operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with EM for facility management and enhancements
  • Address and resolve process disruptions
  • Investigate and address customer complaints and feedback
  • Ensure the correct issuance of Operation Instruction Sheets (OIS) for production activities
  • Analyze, investigate, and implement corrective and preventive actions for key performance index monitoring items; report findings in the Engineer Monthly Report
  • Propose and request Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) and Resource Plans (RP)
  • Conduct feasibility studies for debottlenecking and expansion projects
  • Implement APQP for new grade development, process changes, and trial runs
  • Serve as the Competent Person for monitoring, maintaining, and reporting on the Air Pollution Control System (Scrubber and Bag Filter)



Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in polymer, chemical, or petrochemical plants
  • Knowledge of equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Standards/ISO (OHS, EMS) and knowledge of IATF 16949, Automotive Quality Management System is a plus
  • Certification as an Environmental Professional in Scrubber Operation (CePSO) and Bag Filter Operation (CePBFO) is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and report-writing skills
  • Performance-oriented with a focus on safety, cost, and quality
