JOB DESCRIPTION:

YOUR ROLE AS:

The Maintenance Operation Control (MOC) Engineer is responsible for monitoring fleet airworthiness, overseeing maintenance activities, and ensuring aircraft operations align with the allocated schedule. This role involves coordinating with Part 145 AMO and collaborating with key departments such as the Operations Control Center, Flight Operations, and Engineering to manage operational and maintenance plans effectively.

WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:

  • Monitor aircraft defects and review JML/DDML and initiate plan for troubleshooting and rectification b. Analyze fault recorded by Aircraft Condition Monitoring System (ACMS) for further action.
  • Monitor and verify all engineering delays. To compile and produce monthly OTP reports.
  • Attend weekly and monthly On Time Performance (OTP) meetings.
  • Monitor the validity of 36 Hours Check/ Weekly Check/Stayover Check and 10 Days Check. To plan for the required ground time.
  • Part of Safety Action Group (SAG) team member. Incharge of Safety Report which is assigned to MOC.
  • In charge of DDML & AMD defects. Initiate spare and rectification plan.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Part 145 AMO Technical Handler with regards to aircraft schedule, maintenance requirement, invoices and FAMO.
  • Liaise with Part 145 AMO for maintenance plan and ground time for defects and AMP tasks

WHO YOU ARE:

Education & Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • EASA/CAAM Part 66 License (required)

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, maintenance control, or engineering operations.
  • Background in Part 145 AMO or airline operations is an advantage.
  • Experience with Aircraft Condition Monitoring Systems (ACMS) and defect management.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance planning, airworthiness requirements, and regulatory compliance (CAAM, EASA, FAA).
  • Knowledge of JML/DDML (Deferred Maintenance List) and AMD (Aircraft Maintenance Deferrals).
  • Familiarity with On-Time Performance (OTP) reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to interpret aircraft technical logs, manuals, and fault reports.
  • Proficiency in maintenance tracking systems and airline management software.

Soft Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting aircraft issues.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise with AMO, flight operations, and engineering teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced, real-time operational environment.
  • Team player with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to work on-site and in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
  • Ability to make quick decisions to support operational efficiency and safety.
