Job Role
• Support and ensure the Division/Department maintains an adequate and effective first line of defence risk management program
• Assist the Business and Support Management to achieve full adherence with all banking laws, rules, regulations and internal policies, procedures and processes.
• Support the effective execution of the operational risk and compliance throughout the Bank/Group, with respect to identifying, quantifying, reviewing, evaluating and measuring risk to ensure that all compliance and risk categories are identified and managed in accordance with regulatory, internal policies and procedures requirements.
• Lead and manage DCOROs and Independent Testers to implement a sound and robust Operational Risk Management Framework and Compliance Framework across Group Operations Malaysia.
• Promote strong operational risk management and compliance culture through engagement and training.

Scope of the Role
• Responsible for management of operational riso and compliance risk for units within Group Operations MY as stated in the appointment letter.
• Execute operational risk framework as per Group Non-Financial Risk Management NFRM & Group Compliance (“GC”) requirements to meet desire validation score for Group Opertaions as a whole.
• For external regulatory examination: the Risk & Control Officer is responsible to act as a liaison and address all concerns and requirements of regulators with respect to risks within their functional area of responsibility.
• Provide support and guidance to the DCORO & QA testers in performing their daily task and activity
• Work closely with the HODs in term of advising as well as identifying potential risk exposure occuring at the Operations department.
• Assess and ensure the effectiveness of the DCORO performance are maintained and to provide input to HODs.
• Working closely with Onboarding Management and Operation Department in ensuring that the onboarding of new processes are managed well and risk matters are assessed prior to onboarding.
• Participate in new projects initiated by Operation department and to assess the risk related mattes.

Qualifications
(Basic Degree/Diploma etc)
• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics/Financial Engineering, Computer Science)
Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements
• Preference for professional or post graduate qualifications

Relevant Work Experience Minimum 10 years work experience with relevant field of operational risk/audit/compliance/legal related role and of working within the relevant business/function preferred.
