Job Summary: As a Technical Project Consultant, you will be responsible including but not limited to overseeing the technical aspects of projects, to provide expert advice, ensure project milestones are met, and lead the implementation of best practices in engineering and project management. Key Responsibilities: • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, conferring with management. • Determines & manage project related activities like; installation, trouble shooting, site visits, coordinate scope of work with clients, delivery schedule and commissioning arrangement, maintenance/trouble shooting during warranty period, etc. • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors. • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, performance standards; conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed project reports; manage project budgets, timelines and resources. • Maintain project schedule by managing, direct and monitoring project progress; provide technical guidance to ensure projects adhere to industry standards, identifying potential risks, resolve problems arise competently and speedily, increase efficiency. • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions, conducting site meetings, submit minutes of meetings, reports and all projects related correspondences. • Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts. • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations. • Manage, motivate, train and mentor local engineering staff and maintain good, standardized work quality of the Technical Support Team. • Support engineering activities like to streamline existing processes and to standardize workflow at site, review installation and user manual from time to time, preparation of drawings and calculation as and when required, etc Job Requirement: • Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering disciplines or its equivalent. • At least ten (10) years working experiences in construction/ palm oil mill industry. • Able to provide solutions for technical questions regarding operational mechanical functions. • Preferably bilingual in English and Bahasa Malaysia. • Meticulous and great attention to details. • Independent and can work with minimum supervision and guidance. • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD and Autodesk.
