Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive IT Support Specialist to join our growing IT team. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys hands-on technical work and problem-solving. You will support our IT Operations Manager/Head of IT Systems and Services by providing first-line technical assistance, helping to maintain our ERP system, supporting MSSQL database tasks, and managing IT assets. Key Responsibilities:

1) Technical Support:

  • Provide first-level technical support to internal staff for hardware, software, and network issues (both in-person and remotely).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner.

2) System Maintenance:

  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks including software updates, system patching, and backups.
  • Support the upkeep and minor enhancements of our ERP system and MSSQL databases.

3) IT Asset Management:

  • Help maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure that all IT requirements are met.

4) Documentation & Collaboration:

  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Work closely with senior IT staff on projects and daily tasks to ensure efficient IT operations.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an IT support role or equivalent technical experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop tools (RDP) and basic understanding of MSSQL concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to learning and growth.
