Role Overview:-
- Oversee all debts owed to the company.
- Monitor debtor balances and ensure that payments are made on time.
- Negotiate payment terms and repayment plans with debtors.
- Monthly closing account processes and reporting
- Prepare monthly report for closing and HQ submission
- To assist the Finance Manager and team in delivery of all Central i-City requirements.
- To keep company confidential information and follow to code of conduct.
Scope of Duties:-
- Develop and monitor a credit control system in collaboration with finance, sales, marketing and executive team members.
- Establish policies that follow customer service best practices while ensuring customers
submit payments on time.
- Update/Prepare Credit Control Report by daily through posting and allocating daily
receipt into accounting system.
- Handle debtors enquiries & take appropriate action to resolve issue.
- Perform relevant accounts reconciliation to ensure all records are tallied.
- Maintain an up-to-date aging report and reconciliation report for receivable balance.
- Proactive identification and resolution of potential difficult debtors accounts.
- Negotiate payment plans with debtors and set instalment terms and conditions
accordingly as per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain weekly records and conduct regular analysis of the credit-control system and implement changes as needed to reduce bad debts.
- Update on legal and court cases progress.
- Prepare monthly report for credit control meeting.
- Ensure the audit preparations are well prepared as requested by auditors.
- Provide support to superior in other documentation works related to credit control as well as compilation and preparation of the relevant reports.
Job Requirements:-
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
- At least 4 year(s) of relevant working experience in credit control role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel experience with retail / commercial background.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment and debt collection practice.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Independent & strong team member with ability to execute, monitor, control and co-ordinate.
