NL METALS SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety and Health Coordinator to join our team in Senai, Johor. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our workforce in the manufacturing environment. As the Safety and Health Coordinator /Officer, you will play a crucial part in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop, implement and monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Provide training and support to employees on occupational health and safety matters
  • Investigate and document accidents, incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with management to develop and maintain a positive safety culture within the organisation
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on safety performance and compliance
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in safety legislation and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and safety management software
