Job Description:
Functional lead 10-15yr of exp – Technical
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and mentor a team of SAP consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
2. Understanding of client business across different streams and ability to map the usage of SAP modules to each of their business processes at a high level.
3. Report weekly, Monthly progress on team, operational performance.
4. Liaison with support team for operational topics and enhancements.
5. Provide guidance and support to team members on complex issues and Change Requests.
6. Ability to address ad-hoc queries from the client at a business process level or technical level independently across SAP functional modules.
7. Manage stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate communication to address their issues and to keep them updated on related IT matters.
8. Guide the support team on a day-to-day basis ensuring quality deliverable within defined SLAs.
9. Track & manage escalations effectively ensuring a smooth closure of Incidents.
10. Responsible for the end-to-end management of all IT major incidents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computing/information technology or its equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Functional Lead or in a similar leadership role within AMS or IT service management.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in SAP FICO
- Should have experience working on projects in S/4HANA.
- Knowledge of programming languages like ABAP is an added advantage
- Demonstrate basic knowledge in SAP integration.
- Knowledge of MM or SD is an added advantage.
- Certifications in IT service management is an added advantage.
Functional Modules:
1. 360 degree understanding of client business across different streams and ability to map the usage of SAP modules to each of their business processes at a high level.
2. Ability to address ad-hoc queries from the client at a business process level or technical level independently across SAP functional modules.
3. Capable of resolving critical incidents/SRs or directing the team to right approach in the event of any escalations across any SAP functional modules.
4. Ability to quickly understand the issue from a business PoV irrespective of any module
5. Manage & update incidents/SRs in the tool as needed.
6. Guide team members across modules, direct them to the right approach for providing solution in case of any issues or for any new change requests.
7. Prepare Functional Specification Document (FSD) for chargeable change requests.
8. Prepare test scripts for unit testing, user acceptance testing, etc.,
9. Ability to shadow team member in their absence (irrespective of any module).
Technical Modules:
1. Ability to debug standard & custom SAP codes to trouble shoot major issues with a quicker turnaround time (Techno-functional skills)
2. Ability to point, propose (at high level) code changes which may come handy & time saving to resolve the issue
3. Prepare test cases related to interface scenarios
4. Understanding of SPROXY t-code and ability to mock an interface scenario for debugging purpose or for testing changes
5. Decision making skills in the event of a critical situation (system outage or interface slowness)
Reporting & Governance:
1. Present weekly/monthly updates of critical activities with the client stakeholders or internal leadership
2. Join monthly cadence call with stake holders across different regions
3. Ensure the SLAs of incidents and SRs are met without any miss. In the event of any breach of SLA, validate the justification prepared by the respective team & take actions to ensure non-occurrence
4. Internal update of My Wizard tool
5. Gather right team on time to resolve any major issue
6. Track & manage escalations effectively ensuring a smooth closure
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM1.00 - RM2.00 per month
