About the role

Doctor Anywhere is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Vice President, Marketing and Communications. As the leader of our regional marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth across various channels.

This role will require a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a proven track record in marketing, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.


This role is based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia and reports directly to the Founder, CEO.

A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:


  • Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Drive initiatives across digital marketing, content marketing, performance marketing, product marketing, and corporate communications to effectively reach target audiences and drive business results.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a diverse team of marketing professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, setting clear goals and expectations, and supporting the team in achieving their objectives. Ensure effective resource allocation and talent development to drive departmental success.
  • Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including website optimization, SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media strategy, and online advertising campaigns. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance digital marketing efforts and maximize ROI.
  • Content Marketing: Drive content strategy and development across various channels to engage and educate target audiences. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create compelling content that resonates with our audience and supports brand positioning and thought leadership.
  • Performance Marketing: Lead performance marketing efforts, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance and drive customer acquisition and retention. Implement testing methodologies and analytical frameworks to measure and improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Product Marketing: Partner with business development, product and regional teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new products and features. Develop product positioning, messaging, and collateral to effectively communicate value propositions and drive adoption among target customers.
  • Corporate Communications: Oversee corporate communications initiatives, including public relations, media relations, and crisis communications. Serve as a spokesperson or train spokesperson for the company and build strong relationships with media outlets, key stakeholders, and industry influencers.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, customer success, and operations, to ensure alignment and integration of marketing initiatives with overall business objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork to drive collective success.


About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in marketing roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and communications strategies in the healthcare or related industry preferred but not must.
  • Experience in navigating B2C and B2B marketing strategies.
  • Expertise in brand positioning, particularly in healthcare and technology, to reinforce the company’s reputation as an innovative and trusted provider.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing techniques and platforms, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, and online advertising to drive engagement and lead generation.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and how to communicate their value to diverse audiences (consumers, providers, partners).
  • Experience with traditional marketing and PR, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all channels.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to craft compelling narratives about Doctor Anywhere’s mission, vision, and impact.
  • Expertise in crisis communication and regulation management to protect the brand’s credibility.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and clinical teams to ensure marketing aligns with service delivery.
  • Ability to effectively engage stakeholders, from employees and customers to investors and media.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive informed decision-making and measure marketing performance.
  • Expertise in setting KPIs and using analytics tools to track the ROI of marketing efforts.
  • Ability to optimize campaigns based on performance data to achieve business objectives efficiently.
  • Creative thinker who can develop innovative campaigns to differentiate Doctor Anywhere in a competitive market.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex marketing challenges.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to change and drive results.
