ASSISTANT MANAGER, PR (PAVILION BUKIT JALIL MALL)
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager, Public Relations (PR) to join our Marketing team at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving PR strategies, media relations, and ESG/CSR initiatives, ensuring positive brand positioning and media engagement for the mall. This role requires a proactive individual with strong relationship management, crisis communication skills, and PR campaign execution experience in the retail or mall industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1) PR & Media Engagement
- Develop and execute strategic PR plans and media engagement activities to enhance PBJ’s brand presence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, editors, KOLs, influencers, and key industry stakeholders.
- Organize and manage press conferences, media briefings, interviews, and PR events for PBJ’s campaigns, tenant launches, and corporate announcements.
2) Crisis Communication & Issues Management
- Act as the first point of contact for PR crisis management, ensuring quick and effective communication to protect PBJ’s reputation.
- Develop crisis communication strategies and response plans, working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Monitor media coverage and provide timely reports, insights, and recommendations to mitigate negative publicity.
3) PR Agency & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the appointed PR agency, providing strategic direction, content development, and campaign initiatives to amplify PBJ’s brand voice.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Events, Digital, and CRM teams to ensure PR activities are aligned with PBJ’s overall marketing strategy.
- Spearhead PR-driven campaigns and storytelling opportunities to support mall events, tenant collaborations, and brand activations.
4) ESG & CSR Leadership
- Lead and execute ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives for PBJ.
- Build partnerships with NGOs, sustainability-driven organizations, and community leaders to enhance PBJ’s impact in social and environmental causes.
- Create PR-driven campaigns that promote PBJ’s sustainability efforts, corporate giving, and community engagement programs.
5) Content Development & Reporting
- Develop press releases, speeches, media statements, and thought leadership articles to position PBJ as a key player in the retail industry.
- Monitor PR coverage and provide performance reports, media analysis, and campaign insights for management review.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,200.00 per month
