JOB SUMMARY

Your role as the Cost Analyst shall encompass the following core responsibility where you will be reporting to the General Manager in matters related to costing and sales analysis. You will work with Accounts and IT department to implement and apply cost accounting policies and procedures as they are derived. You will also prepare various analytical reports by cafes on a daily, weekly & monthly basis to the General Manager for internal control and also to gauge the performance of each outlet on multiple key performance indexes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform ad hoc product cost analysis for new product launches or menu revision.
  • Maintains the costing files for all products produced from the central kitchen and all final products available on the Menu.
  • Interacts with Central Kitchen to ensure recipes and prices of raw materials are up to date; Audits and reviews production process and yield to ensure it tallies with the recipe, costing & SEP in place.
  • Compiles weekly and monthly inventory reports from each outlet and performs analytical check on wastages, purchases, holding stock and usage variances. Provides monthly closing stock figure for each outlet to accounts department for generating the P&L report.
  • Performs scheduled physical inventory audit at outlets.
  • Develops new labour & food cost rates, productivity rates, annual budget and forecast for Top Management approval.
  • Prepares reports on promotions, discounts, voiding & FOC to the General Manager as an effort to maintain and enforce the internal controls for operations & sales.
  • Prepares detailed analytical report for various key performance indexes and compare against budget/standard and past performance. Research and explain variances and report on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as needed.
  • Perform other ad-hoc assignments & produce reports as required by the General Manager.
