We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in managing project costs and ensuring financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets.
- Assess the financial feasibility of projects.
Tendering & Contracts:
- Prepare tender documents and analyze bids from contractors.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations
Project Cost Control:
- Monitor and control project costs to prevent overspending.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and suggest cost-saving measures.
- Track project variations and provide cost analysis reports.
Valuation & Payments:
- Measure and value work done on-site for interim and final payments.
- Process and certify contractor invoices.
- Prepare reports on project financial performance.
Procucement & Material Management:
- Source and procure materials and services cost-effectively.
- Ensure materials are purchased within budget constraints.
Legal & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to building regulations and legal requirements.
- Handle disputes and claims related to contracts and project costs.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Provide financial advice and regular cost reports.
- Attend site meetings and resolve financial queries.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications: RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
- Analytical & Negotiation Skills: Ability to assess costs, manage budgets, and negotiate contracts.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and report-writing skills.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in cost calculations and contract assessments.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
