Job Description:

As an IT Specialist focusing on back-end server support, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our server infrastructure. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our back-end systems, supporting the organization's IT needs and enabling smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software. Ensure servers are running efficiently and securely.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor server performance and system health. Identify and resolve issues proactively to minimize downtime.
  • Security: Implement and manage security measures to protect server data and infrastructure. Conduct regular security audits and updates.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures. Ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve server-related issues. Provide technical support to internal teams and address any server-related problems.
  • Updates and Patches: Apply software updates, patches, and configuration changes to maintain server security and performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to support overall IT infrastructure. Collaborate on projects and provide input on server-related aspects.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze server performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Compliance: Ensure all server operations comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in server management and back-end support.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux). Strong knowledge of server hardware, virtualization technologies, and network protocols.
  • Security: Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security audits.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex server issues.
