• To develop, review, implement and maintain strategies, plans and procedures to protect employees, property and facilities from workplace health and safety hazards. • To assess workplace hazards and risks and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate them. • To conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety issues and ensure compliance with established safety protocols. • To investigate incidents and accidents, determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. • To provide regular safety training sessions and organise impactful safety campaigns to promote awareness. • To maintain accurate records and documentation for safety inspections, incidents and training. • To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety strategies, plans and procedures, and adjust as needed. • To provide guidance, professional level advises and support to management and employees on safety-related matters. • To stay updated about emerging safety trends, regulations and best practices to ensure continuous improvement. • Develop and implement environmental management systems, policies, and practices. • Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, laws, and industry standards. • Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare reports for management. • Maintain accurate records of environmental audits, inspections, and compliance activities. • Stay up to date on new environmental regulations and industry trends. • Act as the point of contact for all environmental matters within the company. • Manage and monitor scheduled waste inventory, packing, and storage to ensure compliance with DOE standards. • Liaise with contractors for waste pickup and handle spillage incidents, ensuring proper reporting to DOE. • Design labels, arrange packing materials, and ensure proper storage and tagging of waste. • Update e-SWIS system monthly, ensuring waste data aligns with production and regulatory requirements. • Coordinate and conduct internal and external training to achieve 50 CPD hours annually. • Develop annual environmental budget and ensure environmental compliance within the factory. • Attend and participate in EPMC & ERCMC meetings, providing updates on environmental matters. • Maintain and update SOPs, waste registration, and issue notices on environmental matters. • To perform any other ad hoc/ additional responsibility as assigned by the Management.
