Job Description
Job Summary:
A Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall maintenance of a building’s infrastructure, ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment. This role involves performing routine inspections, addressing maintenance issues, repairing items, and coordinating repairs across external contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Building Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of the building and its facilities.
- Perform minor repairs (e.g., doors, windows, walls, flooring, ceilings).
- Ensure all common areas are clean, safe, and in good working condition.
2. Electrical & Plumbing Systems
- Check and repair lighting fixtures, power outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including sinks, toilets, and pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and address electrical or water supply issues.
3. HVAC & Mechanical Systems
- Monitor heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Perform regular maintenance to prevent system malfunctions.
- Assist in coordinating major HVAC repairs with external contractors.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure the building adheres to safety regulations and fire codes.
- Perform emergency maintenance when needed (e.g., power failures, leaks).
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment servicing.
5. Contractor & Vendor Coordination
- Liaise with external vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance work.
- Oversee contractors working on-site and ensure work is completed as required.
6. Inventory & Equipment Management
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance tools and supplies.
- Order necessary equipment and materials for repairs and upkeep.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in building maintenance or a similar role.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Electrical certificate will be advantage
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
Work Conditions:
- On-call availability for emergency repairs.
- Take responsibility for the care and maintenance of company assets (such as lift, cabinets, lights, wall painting and etc).

Pay: RM3,300.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
