Purchasing

  • Manage the purchasing of goods and services
  • Process purchase order (PO) in system based on the SOP to allow timely and smooth operation process
  • Monitor status of orders on purchasing system
  • Match Delivery Order, Invoices with Purchase Orders and submit to the accounts team in timely manner
  • Reviewing purchase requests from various departments, comparing offers from different suppliers, and negotiating the best prices.

Material Planning

  • Actively involve in planning and controlling the optimum stock level for all raw and packing materials.
  • Liaise with the Sales Teams and Warehouse to set up, manage and control desired stock levels.
  • Review of purchase orders to ensure the will not result in under/overstocks
  • Manage order lead time to ensure delivery expectations are met
  • Actively monitor, plan and purchase the required goods and services needed for replenishing to ensure sufficient stock for production requirements.
  • To review and update the existing and new goods and services cost and quality, to recommend opportunities for cost optimization.

Managing the supplier

  • Source suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, timing, quality and logistical expenses
  • Compile, negotiate and evaluate the prices, specifications and terms of the goods or services
  • Work with the relevant team to ensure suppliers are reviewed regularly to achieve the desired service level, delivery schedule and pricing
  • Establish good business relationships with suppliers to ensure vendors comply with the contractual agreement
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance
  • Update the yearly suppliers list

Other Role

  • To coordinate materials and production planning for the production department
  • Any other related duties as assigned or requested time to time by the immediate superior.

Requirements

1. Min 5 years experience in purchasing and planning function is required, which includes

- Proactively seek out, assess and deliver cost and lead time reduction opportunities and supply chain solutions

- Management of supplier performance including vendor reviews, to include on time performance, quality issues, communication effectiveness, cost reduction and process improvement

2. Desired skills for purchasing and planning, include :

- Material requirements planning

- Procurement concepts, practices, and procedures

3. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with people from all levels

4. Must work well independently & as a team player with professionalism and integrity

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From RM2,500.00 per month
