The End User Services - Office 365 Engineer will support the End User Services function within the wider End User and Network team. The primary goal of the role is twofold: firstly, to be responsible for operational/level 3 support and administration of JM’s core end user productivity suite, specifically Microsoft 365. Secondly, is to be responsible for the Microsoft productivity and messaging suite services, M365.


The End User Services - Office 365 Engineer will also work closely with the architecture teams to support them with designing solutions and the engineer will ultimately be responsible for implementing solutions and supporting projects.

Your accountabilities:
• Support and maintain the core Microsoft 365 suite of services for our end users.
• Support and maintain all email infrastructure and services.
• Assist SecOps with the support of security tools within Microsoft 365 suite of services.
• Support and maintain Azure Information Protection and Advanced Threat Protection.
• Support and maintain SMTP.
• Escalate and manage incidents with 3rd party vendors.
• Monitor Microsoft 365 services, review usage and performance reports.
• As part of a team participate in 3rd line incident troubleshooting and resolution whilst adhering to SLAs.
• As part of a team participate in 3rd line service request fulfilment.
• As required participate in relevant projects and service improvement workstreams.
• Ensure that documentation is maintained and kept up to date in line with JM standards and policies.
• Share acquired knowledge with colleagues through formal documentation and communications sessions.
• Carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
• At all times, adhere to all company Policies, Standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• As a member of the global JMIT community you will be a champion of the function’s values and culture, while demonstrating and openly encouraging the behaviours expected from a professional, best in-class IT team.
• Ability to work flexible working hours to support a global, multi-time zone customer base.
• Participate in an on-call rota for out of hours support.


Requirements for the role:
• Relevant Microsoft qualifications and ITIL.
• Experience supporting Office 365 in a global organisation.
• Experience supporting email infrastructure (on-premise Exchange & Hybrid environment with Office 365).
• Experience supporting Microsoft Defender in threats, malicious, spam, phishing and spoofing.
• Experience integrating Microsoft 365 with other enterprise applications and services.
• Experience in SPF, DKIM, DMARC.
• Significant experience supporting M365 services OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Yammer, Viva.
• Knowledge and practical experience of Microsoft Azure Information Protection, Microsoft Purview, Advanced Threat Protection, data life cycle management labelling and encryption.
• Exposure and understanding of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access Policies, Multi Factor Authentication and data protection standards and compliance.
• Experience using PowerShell for scripting, automation and administration of M365
• Knowledge and practical experience of eDiscovery sensitive legal search and hold.
• Experience supporting, coaching & mentoring technical team members.
• Strong understanding of current industry-standard architecture, platforms, and solutions.
