Our client is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. They are seeking a Channel Sales Manager to join their team in Penang, Malaysia.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of partners and end users, representing the company at senior levels and bringing opportunities forward for successful closure. The position also offers flexibility with the choice between working from home and the office.
What you'll do:
As a Channel Sales Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving our client's partner sales activities. You will be responsible for forecasting and managing both channel and direct sales, ensuring that partner quotas are met. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be put to use as you co-sell key strategic customers with channel partners, create initiatives to lead these partners into key markets, and assist them in closing business deals. You will also be tasked with recruiting new channel partners, resolving any conflicts that may arise, engaging with both partners and end users to maximize share of wallet within LAER practice, and driving policy matters and compliance.
• Forecast and manage channel and direct sales
• Lead and manage channel partners to ensure partner quota achievement
• Meet individual sales objectives such as quota and productivity requirements
• Co-sell key strategic customers with channel partners
• Create programs and initiatives to lead channel partners into key markets
• Assist channel partners in closing business deals
• Recruit new channel partners and enable them with the help of the technical team
• Work closely with channel partners to resolve conflicts (if any)
• Engage with channel partners and end users to maximize share of wallet within LAER practice
• Drive policy matters and compliance with partners/customers
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Channel Sales Manager role brings a wealth of experience in sales, particularly within the enterprise software sector. With at least 10 years under your belt, you have a proven track record in selling ERP solutions. Your experience extends to direct sales, where you have demonstrated your ability to manage complex software selling and achieve targets through a channel partner model. Your business acumen allows you to effectively manage forecasts and targets, while your IT savviness enables you to multitask efficiently. You are a dynamic leader, with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, able to analyse issues and resolve conflicts. Your attention to detail, thoroughness, and high level of accountability set you apart.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering/Computing or equivalent
• At least 10 years of sales experience with a proven track record in selling enterprise software such as ERP solutions
• Experience in direct sales is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex software selling with proven ability in achieving target through a channel partner model
• Good business acumen foresights in managing forecasts and targets
• IT savvy and ability to multitask
• Dynamic leadership skills with high level of accountability
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with ability to analyse issues and resolve conflicts
