Tenbex Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (TESB) is an engineering company established in 2004 with offices and workshops across West and East Malaysia. TESB is licensed by PETRONAS as a service contractor/vendor for oil companies operating in Malaysia. With a team of experienced personnel from various oil and gas companies, TESB specializes in rotating equipment maintenance and aims to be the preferred business partner for O&G specialized maintenance and special product/material supply.
Role Description
HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) responsibility at the executive level is crucial to ensuring that the company operates in a manner that protects people, assets, and the environment while complying with regulations and industry best practices. Executives in O&G have a significant role in shaping and overseeing HSE strategies, setting the tone for a safety culture, and ensuring sustainable operations.
1. Setting the Strategic HSE Vision
- Establish HSE Goals and Priorities: Develop and communicate a clear, overarching HSE strategy that aligns with the company’s values, objectives, and regulatory requirements.
- Leadership Commitment: Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to HSE practices, fostering a safety-first culture throughout the organization.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure adequate resources (personnel, technology, financial support) are allocated to HSE programs, training, and initiatives.
2. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that the company complies with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Permit and Licensing: Oversee that all necessary HSE-related permits, licenses, and certifications are obtained and maintained.
- Legislative Monitoring: Keep updated on changes in safety and environmental laws and regulations, ensuring the company adapts and complies promptly.
3. Risk Management and Safety Culture
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Ensure that all HSE-related risks, such as operational hazards, environmental impacts, and health risks, are identified, assessed, and mitigated.
- Safety Culture Leadership: Foster a company-wide culture of safety by promoting employee involvement, ensuring accountability, and encouraging reporting of safety issues or near-misses.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations of significant incidents or accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
4. Environmental Stewardship
- Sustainability Goals: Set and monitor environmental goals that reduce the company’s carbon footprint, optimize resource usage, and manage waste responsibly.
- Environmental Risk Management: Oversee the development of plans to minimize environmental risks, such as spills, emissions, and habitat destruction, particularly in sensitive regions.
- Sustainable Development: Encourage sustainable practices across operations, including energy-efficient technologies and sustainable resource management.
5. Health and Well-being
- Employee Health Programs: Promote and oversee the health and wellness programs for employees, including those in high-risk roles like offshore workers.
- Workplace Health Standards: Ensure compliance with health and hygiene standards, including the prevention of occupational diseases or injuries.
- Emergency Response Plans: Ensure that comprehensive emergency response plans are in place and that employees are trained in how to respond to health and safety crises (e.g., oil spills, fires, or medical emergencies).

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
