Klinik Haiwan & Surgeri Tuaran is seeking a dedicated and skilled veterinarian to join our team. The veterinarian will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to small animals, primarily cats and dogs, with opportunities to handle exotic pets. The role includes conducting consultations, performing surgeries, supervising laboratory work, and ensuring the overall well-being of patients. Key Responsibilities: Clinical & Surgical Duties : 1. Perform general check-ups, diagnostics, and treatments for small animals. 2. Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, ultrasound, and blood work. 3. Perform surgeries daily, including soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. 4. Assist senior veterinarians in complex surgical cases, including neuro and major orthopedic surgeries. 5. Attend to emergency cases when required, including after-hours calls. 6. Supervise and participate in laboratory work to ensure accuracy and quality in diagnostics. 7. Provide post-operative care, pain management, and follow-up consultations. Client Communication & Education : 1. Educate pet owners on preventive healthcare, vaccinations, nutrition, and post-treatment care. 2. Provide detailed follow-up on critical cases and ensure clients understand home care procedures. 3. Maintain professionalism and empathy when communicating with clients regarding diagnoses and treatment options. Team Supervision & Clinic Operations : 1. Guide and supervise veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations. 2. Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to provide the best possible patient care. 3. Ensure proper record-keeping of pet health histories and treatment plans. Other Responsibilities : 1. Attend house calls for consultations and emergency cases as needed. 2. Participate in occasional outreach programs based on necessity. 3. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Educational & Professional Requirements : 1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from a recognized and accredited institution. 2. 2-5 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or a closely related field. 3. Experience with exotic animals is a plus but not mandatory. Technical Skills : 1. Proficiency in diagnosing and treating small animal diseases. 2. Surgical expertise, including both routine and major procedures. 3. Ability to operate and interpret results from diagnostic equipment (X-ray, ultrasound, blood analyzers, etc.). Soft Skills : 1. Strong communication and client-relations skills. 2. Leadership abilities to mentor nurses and support staff. 3. Excellent time management and ability to handle high-pressure situations. 4.
