STAFF REGISTERED NURSE

QUALIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATION: 1.Diploma/Bachelor in Nursing 2.Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board 3.Valid Annual Practicing Certificate with MNB to practice as registered nurse 4.Paediatric post-basic nursing qualification is preferred GENERAL: 1.Able to write and communicate fluently in Bahasa Malaysia and English language 2.Computer literacy 3.Able to handle stressful and emotional situations with efficiency and composure 4.Able to react decisively and intelligently in emergencies, performs and assists in medical/surgical procedures with accuracy PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: 1.Pleasant personality and able to work well with others 2.Good communication skills, caring, honest, compassionate and responsible 3.Possess good analytical skills to interpret and analyze data and reports 4.Demonstrate outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills 5.Has the ability to diplomatically handle difficult situations 6.Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision 7.Able to make decision in critical situation and ensure efficiency and effective care is rendered at all level of the patients’ experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1.Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking 2.Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients 3.Ability to see, hear, stand, bend, kneel, walk and lift patients ABLE TO WORK UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: 1.Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne disease 2.Contacts with patients/families under wide variety of circumstances 3.Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and illness.) 4.Handles emergency or crisis situation. May perform emergency care 5.Occasionally subjected to irregular hours 6.Willingness to work on scheduled hours, shifts and weekends, public holidays, on-call anytime when called during emergency JOB SUMMARY 1.Applies and demonstrate knowledge of the delivery of professional care, including all aspects of practice, as defined by the Malaysian Nursing Board and reinforced in Hospital Seri Botani’s policies 2.Plans, delegates and organizes nursing personnel 3.Manages and coordinates information between patient, family and healthcare team members 4.Provides education for patients and families and evaluate outcomes 5.Strive to provide high quality holistic nursing care Knowledgeable and strong believer in quality improvement activities
