Job Summary: The Material Controller is responsible for material planning, inventory control, and ensuring timely material availability to support smooth production operations. This role involves coordinating with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to optimize material flow, minimize shortages, and reduce excess inventory. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and control raw materials, components, and finished goods inventory to support production needs. Work with purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and prevent shortages. Develop and implement material planning and replenishment strategies based on production schedules. Track inventory levels, stock movements, and usage trends to optimize material allocation. Coordinate with production teams to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules. Identify and address material shortages, excess stock, and slow-moving inventory to improve efficiency. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks. Support ERP/MRP system updates for material tracking and reporting. Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in material control, inventory management, or supply chain coordination. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for material planning and inventory tracking. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in stock management and forecasting. Ability to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure smooth material flow. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
