MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Skills -Independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential. -Understanding of and skills in preparing mechanical production drawings are essential. -Articulate and well-written in English. -Well-verse in applications such as Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, ERP System and Microsoft Office is preferred. Qualifications - Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. (Minimum 3 years working experiences in mechanical design or engineering in relevant industry) - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Minimum 5 years working experiences in mechanical design or engineering in relevant industry) Responsibilities -Prepare, Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. -Lifting equipment design and engineering. -Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement system design, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. -Support presales and aftersales activities. -Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. -Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. -Research, design, evaluate and applying knowledge of engineering principles in lifting products. -Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations for improvements. -Using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software. -Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs. -Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems. -Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. -Prepare BOM and work closely with Production and Purchasing department to generate estimated cost for Sales department. -Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects. -Undertake and execute all works in a safe manner by complying with relevant laws, regulations, procedures, protocols and codes of practice to safeguard for Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) of own self, other people and properties at workplace -Other ad-hoc tasks and duties as required by the superior.
