Job Summary: The Senior Tooling Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of stamping dies to ensure smooth production operations. This role involves troubleshooting die-related issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and improving tooling performance to enhance product quality and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Perform repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of progressive, single-stage, and transfer stamping dies. Conduct preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of tooling and minimize production downtime. Diagnose and resolve die-related issues, such as misalignment, burrs, or wear. Work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure die performance meets manufacturing standards. Modify and improve tooling designs and processes to enhance production efficiency. Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to inspect and verify tooling components. Maintain detailed tooling maintenance records and track tool life cycles. Support the installation, testing, and debugging of new dies. Train junior toolmakers and technicians in die repair and maintenance best practices.
