Accounting and Finance Manager Job Description

Position Title: Accounting and Finance Manager
Location: Puchong
Reporting To: Director
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:Accounting:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and stakeholders.
  • Accounts Management:
  • Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger functions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts periodically.
  • Monitor and control the chart of accounts and accounting entries.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Develop, manage, and monitor budgets.
  • Prepare and review financial forecasts.
  • Auditing and Compliance:
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audit readiness and tax filing.

Finance:

  • Cash Flow Management:
  • Monitor and manage the organization’s cash flow to ensure liquidity.
  • Optimize working capital and recommend financing strategies as needed.
  • Cost Control & Analysis:
  • Perform cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Review expense reports and provide recommendations for cost control.
  • Investment Management:
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities for the business.
  • Support management in evaluating and managing investments.
  • Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Partner with senior leadership to create financial models for business initiatives.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
  • Implement and enhance internal controls and financial processes.
  • Ensure collaboration across departments for accurate financial data sharing.

Requirements:Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred).
  • years of proven experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SQL Accounting) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Familiarity with tax laws and regulations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for financial presentations and reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM6,000.00 per month
