Project Engineer, Rail Electrical & Mechanical

You will assist in the project management of the construction transit project for new MRT Lines and/or enhancements to existing lines. You will be responsible for the safety, quality, progress and environment impact of the contractors’ works and ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the required specifications for the successful completion of the project and handover to the appointed Railway Operator. You will liaise with various parties, such as other project teams, system-wide and civil contractors, designers, architects, stakeholders and appointed Railway Operator to ensure that the projects are well coordinated and review and address their feedback appropriately.

You will review technical submissions and participate in the construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities of the project. You will be primarily assigned to work on one of the following core areas of specialty in Rail systems (Signalling / Communications System/ System Integration and Co-ordination / Integrated Supervisory and Control System) or E&M Services (Rail services/ Depot services/ Power Supply

Project Engineer, Civil

You will play a lead role in managing the Contractors in the construction of new MRT Lines and / or enhancement to Existing Lines. You will be involved in the management of the contractors for Stations and Tunnel constructions in elevated or underground constructions, or Addition & Alteration works for Existing Lines. You will be responsible for the safety, quality, progress, stakeholder management and environment impact of the Contractors’ works. You will also assist in planning and managing the risks and cashflows of the various contracts as well as the issuance of instructions and assessment of variations/payments/claims.

Engineer, Tunnel Ventilation & Mechanical Services / Power Supply & Electrical Services

Engineers play a crucial role in providing design and engineering support to stakeholders involved in railway, road tunnel, and bus infrastructure projects. Their responsibilities include conducting technical studies, investigations, and technological research, along with the following key tasks:

Maintaining and updating engineering standards, design criteria, performance specifications, and technical requirements for various systems, such as air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation, fire protection, plumbing, sanitary and water services, tunnel ventilation, lifts, and escalators.

Preparing and evaluating tenders, reviewing design submissions from consultants and contractors, as well as overseeing site supervision, testing, and commissioning. In this role, you will provide engineering support for Division-led projects and studies. Your responsibilities will include designing high-voltage power systems, railway traction power systems, and low-voltage reticulation schemes. Additionally, you will establish engineering standards, manage and participate in tendering processes, oversee site supervision, testing, and commissioning, and review technologies for road and rail infrastructure, applications, and buildings.

Pay: RM13,200.00 - RM16,500.00 per month
